“I’m committed to managing growth in a way that prioritizes the needs of current residents.” – John DelGuidice

I was born and raised just north of the Bronx in a close-knit family where hard work, honesty, and service to others were core values. I
studied Business Administration and Computer Science at the University at Albany, where I also met my wife, Marion. We’ve been partners ever since.

After college, I worked for the New York State Police as a statistical analyst, helping improve traffic safety through data-driven studies. My career later took me into production planning, technology, finance, and leadership roles at companies like Burroughs Corporation, JPMorgan, and Olympus America. Along the way, I managed teams, implemented early email systems, advocated for safer workplaces, and proudly supported coworkers on their path to U.S. citizenship. I was twice elected to the Seaford Board of Education, serving my community while working in local government as a Financial System Administrator.

Life’s experiences — including being blocks away from the Twin Towers on 9/11 — reminded me that nothing is more important than family and community. After many years on Long Island, my wife and I relocated back upstate to Old Dater Farm, close to our children, who all moved north for a better quality of life.

Today, I am eager to continue giving back. With decades of professional experience, a lifelong commitment to service, and a deep love for our community, I am ready to work for you as a Halfmoon Town Board Member.
